20 September 2016
Sharing the stage with global brands such as Apple, BMW, Cartier, Facebook, Google, Louis Vuitton, Nike and Rolex, MML®  has been named "Brand of the year 2016 - 2017".

This honour was confered at the World Branding Awards ceremony in Kensington Palace, London on 20 September 2016, recognising the  MML®  brand's achievement in building strong brand experiences.

The world branding Awards is the premier awards of the World Banding Forum, a registered non-profit organisation. The awards recognises the achievements of some of the world's best brands. "This is a celebration of the hard work that goes into building great brands," said Mr Richard Rowles, chairman of the World Branding Forum.

Mr Alex Yeow Wai Siaw, Chief Executive of Malaysian Mosaics, said "Winning the 'Brand of the year' at the World Branding Awards marks a milestone in our global branding efforts. We are proud that  MML®  today has envolved from a homegrown brand to a global brand".

According to Mr Alex Yeow, MML® focuses on design, quality, technology and sustainability to ensure that the brand continuously builds relevance on a global platform. In 2015, MML® launched Malaysia’s first Ultra High Definition Digital technology for tiles. This opened up endless possibilities in creating innovative ceramic and porcelain tile designs and surfaces. It brings the design quality of MML® products to a higher level in comparison to the ordinary digital products being offered in the market.

“It is MML’s brand aspiration to be the mover, shaker and style maker in luxury interior concepts. To achieve our aspiration, we recognise that building strong brand experiences goes hand-in-hand with quality products and services. We are really honoured to have received this prestigious award. We would like to thank our consumers and business partners for the strong support they have shown us, which has made this achievement possible. We will continuously and passionately drive towards providing top class experiences to our consumers around the world, who deserve the best.” Mr Alex Yeow concluded.

Mr Peter Pek, Chief Executive of the World Branding Forum, said “It takes years to build a strong brand. The Awards showcases some of the very best in the world of branding. Today, consumers are more discerning than ever. Having a good product or service alone is insufficient. Brands need to provide memorable brand experience to its customers. The quality of brands competing for the awards are very high. Winning brands set the standards of what brands need to be in order to win.”
